Today we had the wonderful opportunity to honor and recognize Mrs. Mary Ruth Hammer and all of her lifetime accomplishments. Mary Ruth was born in 1917 here in Knoxville, TN. Mary started piano lessons when she was 6 years old and continues to play today. Her greatest passion was working in ministry with her husband, and playing the piano every chance she could. She says her greatest accomplishment was raising her 3 beautiful daughters. Her infectious personality and smile are admirable! We are so blessed to have Mary Ruth here with us. In her own words, “I have lived a very long, but a very good life!” ❤️
