Shana Robertson, CDAL
Shana Robertson joined the Integral Senior Living team in January 2016. She will serve as the Executive Director of The Pointe at LifeSpring, in Knoxville, TN, one of ISL’s newest senior living communities. Shana brings with her 15 years of direct experience in working with seniors and their families in Tennessee and North Carolina. Shana has a BS degree in Public Health Education from East Tennessee State University. For the past 10 years, Shana’s career focus has been solely on leadership within senior living communities. She has a successful record in ensuring excellent resident care in a well-maintained, enjoyable, and caring environment. She strives to ensure that trusting and open relationships are established and maintained with residents and their families. Shana is also knowledgeable in the areas of home care, long-term care insurance and other long-term care funding options, progressive memory care programming, marketing, public relations, and staff training and education.
In 2016, Shana earned the distinction of being identified as a Certified Director of Assisted Living (CDAL) from the Senior Living Certification Commission. This certification demonstrates Shana’s attainment of consistent, relevant, measurable and industry-recognized standards of practice in the assisted living executive director role. Shana has been married to her husband, Brent for the past 17 years, and they have a handsome 14 year-old son, named Denver. She and her family seek to honor and give thanks to God in all aspects of life. Shana enjoys traveling, being on or around the water, hosting gatherings with friends and family.
In October 2017, Madison Wright transitioned from the Sales and Marketing Assistant to the Vibrant Life Director at The Pointe at Lifespring Senior Living. She is incredibly excited to embark on this new journey and continue to build relationships with, minister to, and provide a high-spirited activities program for the residents of The Pointe Lifespring who have become like family to her. Madison graduated from Carson Newman College with a Bachelor of Science in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations.
Madison lives and worships in Corryton and she enjoys traveling, reading, big earrings, concerts, nurturing succulents and spending time with friends and family.
Amanda Crawley joined Integral Senior Living in November 2016 as the Business Office Director of The Pointe at Lifespring Senior Living. Amanda has eighteen years of assisted living experience beginning as a caregiver and housekeeper, and the last twelve years have been focused in the business office. Amanda has often been called the “glue that holds us together.” While working in assisted living communities, she has had the opportunity to enjoy all of her passions, such as caring for the residents and playing piano for them. Amanda had a goal of earning her Administrator’s License, which she achieved in 2015. Amanda has been married to her husband, Kenny, for fifteen years and is proud to say that they were high school sweethearts and have been together for twenty years.
Amanda has 3 wonderful children, Haley, Maddie, and Bobby. Her family is very active in church, where they serve in the youth group and music department. Amanda also serves as the assistant piano player at her church and looks forward to sharing that talent with our residents. Amanda enjoys camping, church events, her children’s baseball and softball games, but most of all, spending time with her family.
Hannah Lewis joined the ISL team in October 2017. Hannah’s six years of banking experience have given her the skill set to build great relationships with people. She has also been successful at coordinating the volunteer program with Amedisys Hospice. She felt the Lord calling her to work with senior adults and she is excited to join The Pointe at Lifespring family and minister to our residents, their families and the seniors of the Knoxville community. Hannah’s bright and vibrant personality will fit well with the residents and team at The Pointe at Lifespring.
Hannah and her husband, Tyler, live in Strawberry Plains with their two children, Easton and Everlee. Hannah finds joy in her family, friends, her church and UT football! Go Vols!
Vicky Edmonds joined The Pointe at Lifespring team in January 2018 as the concierge. She is a graduate of Gibbs High School and currently resides in Corryton with her family. Vicky has previously worked in the health care industry for the past 23 years. She started as a CAN at Hillcrest and after 3 years, she went into the Admissions Office. After moving to Amedisys, she worked for 13 years as a Business Office Specialist. Vicky is passionate about working with seniors and loves to interact with people.
Vicky and her husband, Kenny, have been married for 42 years. They have a daughter, Tiffany, and a grandson, Brayden, who is the apple of their eye. Vicky enjoys watching UT Football (GO VOLS!!) and taking trips to the beach with her family and friends. She is active in her church, Bethel Baptist, where she serves as Youth Director. She also sings in the church choir and assists with coordinating the Women’s Retreats.
Leah joined Integral Senior Living in September 2017 and has nine years of marketing and sales experience. She began her career in marketing and fundraising for a local private Christian school and soon felt a calling to help seniors and has devoted the last four years to senior care. Leah has a degree in biomechanics from Milligan College, where she played softball for 4 years. Leah is active and involved with Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Purple Cities Alliance, sits on the Board of Directors at Keystone Adult Day Program, as well as the head softball coach at Karns High School.
Leah is married to her husband Luke, and they have an energetic four-year-old daughter, named Piper. Leah and her family serve and worship at West Lonsdale Baptist Church in Knoxville.
Annie Smalley, RN
Annie Smalley joins the ISL team at The Pointe at Lifespring Senior Living as the Assisted Living Director. Annie brings several years of focused experience in senior living working in geriatrics and dementia care. As the Assisted Living Director, she will greatly impact and guide the overall care of our residents.
Annie began her medical career as a resident assistant in 2006 at Trinity Hills Assisted Living. She loved it so much that she decided to further her education in senior care to be able to continue making a difference in the lives of seniors. She received her LPN degree from the Tennessee Technology Center in 2007. She then moved to Alabama to work in assisted living and rehabilitation, but continued to wear her University of Tennessee orange pride in her heart and uniform. In 2011, she moved back to Tennessee and enrolled at Lincoln Memorial University where she received her RN degree. Annie has continued to use her nursing skills and compassionate touch most recently at Clarity Pointe Senior Living, to further the excellent care that seniors receive each day. “To have the opportunity to touch and work to improve the life of a senior each and every day is a driving force in me. It is also a privilege I take seriously and feel extremely blessed to do,” said Annie Smalley.
Annie lives in Knoxville with her son Peyton and kitten Archie. All three of them are very fond of the color orange.
Helen Porter, CDP, CADDCT
Helen Porter joined Integral Senior Living in October 2016 as the Generations Program Director of The Pointe at Lifespring Senior Living. Helen is a Nashville-native turned Knoxvillian who has a passion for encouraging people to fulfill their maximum potential. While pursuing her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Recreation Therapy at The University of Tennessee- Knoxville, her concentration was devoted to children with multiple disabilities. After graduation, she was called into working with seniors at Clarity Pointe of Knoxville, where she continued her work as the Director of Life Enrichment and as Business Office Manager. With a love for education, she has become certified as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, a Certified Dementia Practitioner, and an Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer. She’s also an active board member for a local nonprofit, and enjoys running, coffee, and the word enthusiasm.
Corey Gregory joined Integral Senior Living in October 2016 as the Maintenance Director of The Pointe at Lifespring Senior Living. Corey is a graduate of Lincoln Park Technologies and Trade School where he studied electricity. He is a Journeyman Electrician and has worked in the construction field for 10 years.
Corey has been married to his wife Ronna for 7 years and they have 2 children together Beau who is 5 and Stella who is 2. He is a member of Fairview Baptist Church of Corryton where he plays drums and percussion in the praise band. He enjoys coaching baseball and spending time with his family.
Jim’s passion for cooking started when he was about 5 years old, as he sat next to his grandmother on a barstool holding her apron and watching her cook, putting love and heart into everything she made. Through the years, she taught him the skills of cooking. Jim later joined the United States Army and for 16 years served as a food service director. He trained in Airborne/Special Forces and later earned his culinary arts degree.
After his time in the Army, Jim worked in various restaurants as a food manager. He spent three years working for Morrison in Decatur General Hospital as a production manager, then worked for Five Star Senior Assisted Living for 10 years. Jim then earned two bachelor’s degrees in pastoral/Bible theology. Jim enjoys serving as a children’s minister and missionary, but his mission is to love and serve people and to ensure that the quality of food and life are preserved.
